Marie IYCFF First Nation Indigenous Youth Art Cohorts and Hybrid Residency This project seeks to support 33 Indigenous youth artists in the Algoma region through culturally grounded art cohorts focused on land-based teachings, professional skills, and strengthening identity through creative expression. / Projects / IYCFF / Indigenous Youth Art Cohorts and Hybrid Residency Organization Name: Cafe 4 Good Amount Rewarded: $30,000 This project seeks to support 33 Indigenous youth artists in the Algoma region through culturally grounded art cohorts focused on land-based teachings, professional skills, and strengthening identity through creative expression. From each cohort, one artist will display their art for 3 months at the Cafe. 15 Indigenous Algoma youth will then participate in a three-month hybrid residency offering shared studio space, Indigenous artist mentorship, and Elder guidance rooted in cultural resurgence.
