Culture 2022 Barrie IYCFF Métis Grassroots Group Metis & Me Funded Amount: $14500 / Projects / IYCFF / Metis & Me Louis Riel said, “My people will sleep for one hundred years, but when they awake, it will be the artists who give them their spirit back.” This 14-week program is designed to connect creative Metis youth with their community and cultural ancestry by asking themselves the question, what does it mean to be Metis? The storytellers will write and perform their piece for a podcast while the visual artists will design thumbnails for the podcast.
